A Bit About Me
Hi! My name is Ashlea, a 27-year-old Accredited Practising Dietitian & Nutritionist.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Dietetics (Honours) from the University of the Sunshine Coast. I started at university studying a Bachelor of Creative Industries with hopes to graduate as a graphic designer and photographer. Approaching my final year of the degree I decided while I love being artistic and creative, it didn’t feel right any longer to pursue it as a career. Throughout these uni years I was also taking steps towards a health and fitness journey of my own. Being of a lower body weight throughout the entirety of high school and then starting to see upward shifts in my weight as I entered my adult years made me develop some fairly unhealthy habits as I was no longer liking what I was seeing in the mirror. To me, my 16-year-old physique was what I wanted to achieve again as this is what I considered “beautiful”. I began restricting certain foods and even had times where I would try and punish myself for eating too much.
Fortunately, I stumbled across a health and wellness program that taught me not just how to find enjoyment in food again but also how to accept and celebrate my new body for all it can do rather than punish it for not looking a certain way. Having navigated the challenges I have and emerged with a renewed sense of self-acceptance and a balanced relationship with food, inspired me to want to help others facing similar struggles.
Because of this, I decided to take a big leap and change my degree to Nutrition and Dietetics and begin uni life all over again. Since graduating, I pride myself on having built a career grounded in evidence-based nutrition practice and a compassionate, client-centred approach. I am passionate about promoting sustainable weight loss strategies that prioritise balance and long-term wellness over quick fixes. Whether you're looking to enjoy your favourite foods without guilt or seeking practical advice on maintaining a balanced diet, I am here to support and empower you every step of the way.
